Do you know how to “smile with your eyes”? If your answer is “Oh, you mean smize!” it's pretty obvious you've been watching America's Next Top Model. Host, judge, mentor and series creator Tyra Banks is always dispensing tricks of the trade to the girls competing for the grand prize that includes a model agency contract, magazine spread and cover shoot, and the chance to be a Cover Girl. If you love your “look” and don't want to change it, this is not the show for you – one of the first things the contestants experience is a drastic hair makeover (if you have dark hair, they'll probably make you a blonde; if you have short hair, prepare to sit in the salon for hours receiving hair extensions). But if you've been told “the camera loves you” and you're willing to wear anything (or nothing at all) and hold an uncomfortable pose in order to get the shot, this may be the show for you. And don't think you have be a “stereotypical” beauty to make it. Some of the previous competitors did not look like models when we were first introduced to them on the show – and they went on to win not just challenges, but their entire season.
